Featured panelist: Christopher Eck, director of online sales, GateHouse Media New England/WickedLocal.com (@WickedLocal)

Also joining us for the NENMA Spring Conference on April 30th at the Radisson in Chelmsford, MA will be Christopher Eck, director of online sales for GateHouse Media New England/WickedLocal.com.

Chris is responsible for the revenue across 170 websites, including more than 150 hyperlocal community sites that comprise WickedLocal.com, serving eastern Massachusetts. Prior to this position Chris worked as an online sales manager for GateHouse Media New England and also as a retail account executive at Enterprise NewsMedia. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, specializing in marketing management, from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.

Developed from the prize-winning Wicked Local Plymouth, each town-specific site features a combination of news from GateHouse newspapers, opportunities for user participation, deep community information, and lots of advertising from local merchants.

Chris will be among a jam-packed set of panelists discussing what they’re doing in two key lines of business for local media companies: Hyperlocal & Local Search.

There's still time to register for the NENMA Spring Conference, a 1-day event with two tracks: A sales boot camp led by Mel Taylor; and strategy sessions on the power and potential of hyperlocal and mobile media.

Sponsorships are also available
for businesses wishing to seize an opportunity to speak with and network among a concentration of new media leadership from New England newspaper and other media organizations.
